    Imported Israeli Wool TZITZIT Tassels
THIS IS GOOD STUFF, ALSO MAKES A
    GREAT
    TEACHING TOOL!
Each set that I make consists of 4 individual tassels (1 set of 4 TZITZIT)
The initial loop (for attaching the TZITZIT to a TALLIT, belt loop, or garment) is about 3" long. This will accommodate a Tallit hole that is up to 1.5" from the edge. (see the picture below for

    IDEAS:
Not only are TZITZIT worn on the four corners of a garment, but some people give these as
    gifts
    , hang them on the
    wall
    , attach them to their
    car mirror
    , place one on a
    key ring
, attach one to a ring with business card-sized Bible
    memory verses
    , use as a Bible
    bookmark
    , hang them in the
    office
    , on the
    desk
    , worn on a
    belt loop
, on and on the examples go.
The TZITZIT is designed to be
    seen
    , and when
    seen
, it reminds us to do the commandments of G-d.
Your set will be hand made only from
    100% imported Israeli wool

Thanks for looking! Shalom & Happy Bidding!
    INTRODUCTION:
    In
    Numbers 15:37-41, Deuteronomy 22:12
, G-d (YHVH) commanded Moses for the Children of Israel to put
    "fringes"
on the four corners of their garments. The Hebrew words are
    TZITZIT
    in
    Numbers 15:37-41
(which has a numerical value of 600); and
    GEDILIM
    in
    Deuteronomy 22:12.
Ashkenazi, Sephardic and Chassidic tassels have 5 knots and 8 cords which equals 13 (600+13=613). 613 is the number of
    MITZVOT
    (commandments) found in the
    TORAH
(the first 5 books of the
    TANAK -
Hebrew Bible). Karaite and Two-House tassels have 12 strings and are made into "chains" or "braids."
    In the
    Ashkenazi
    ,
    Sephardic
    , and
    Chassidic
styles, the long cord is called the
    shamash
(servant) which wraps around all of the other strings. The number of
    shamash
spirals between the knots is also interesting. Various Traditions signify one of the Names of G-d (YHVH) differently.
    KOSHER ISRAELI WOOL STYLES
    Tie Your Own (string only)
This is pretty awesome! I have had
    several
requests for WOOL. So far, I have just done this on an individual basis as this sheep (ewe) wool from the Holy Land is
    more expensive
    than the
    much easier to find
COTTON. But for those who want it, I've started keeping this machine-made, durable, thick, tightly woven, Israeli, kosher, wool in stock (not like the fuzzy springy yarn stuff you have no doubt seen). This elite spun WOOL is exclusively made for hand-tying tzitzit. I must say that in my experience I find that there are different levels of seriousness in fringes, so for the folks who want to do the good deed of tying their own tzitziyot in fulfilling the commandment of tzitzit with higher quality WOOL, here you go. It is the same string as what you find on a tallit made in Israel. TAKE NOTE: I order this special wool and have it shipped
    from Israel
. It comes exactly as pictured below and is
    precut
    to these lengths:
Length of the 12 regular strings -
    34.6
    " (
    88cm)
Length of the 4 shamash strings -
    44.1
    "
    (
    112cm)
I can NOT do custom lengths on this string as I can not find someone in Israel to sell it to me by the spool.
    Maybe one day (pray hard).
Also, this is just the string
    (instructions are NOT included).
This special "WOOL - String Only" kit includes enough string to do 4 corners:
These string lengths are enough to tie basic sets
    (
    Ashkenazi
    ,
    Sephardic
    ,
    Chassidic
    ).
You can also cut the strings (if your minhag allows it) to shorter lengths if needed.
    NOTE: This is
    NOT
enough string to tie Karaite or Two-House styles.
    DYED ISRAELI WOOL
I've been experimenting with the string that I import from Israel (picture on listing). My goal was to personally have a nice
    blue
shamash (no simple task as wool and cotton take dyes differently). Now I have:
    blue, scarlet, and black
. This takes a bit more time to make, but I've had many requests for it and sold several now for those of you who want the
    Israeli wool
    AND a
    blue shamash
string (or black or scarlet). Posted above are some examples of what they look like (the blue is darker than turquoise, not quite as dark as navy - NOTE: batches vary on color just a little as this is a highly custom process using a mix of acid dyes designed for wool to lock the color in).
This is my personal choice for my own TALLIT.
    Ashkenazi (4 to a set)
    7-8-11-13
    (LORD is one, from the
    Shema
    )
    7-8-11-13
    loops with double knots
    :
    7
    +
    8
=15 (numerical value of YOD and HE)
    11
(numerical value of VAV and HE), hence the first three series of loops represent the personal name of G-d and in the last series of loops,
    13
is the value for the letters ALEPH CHET DALET.
These numbers altogether represent the letters
    YHVH ECHAD
    - or "G-d is One" from the
    Shema
    in
    Deuteronomy 6:4
    .
    TZITZIYOT

    shamash
cord) length may vary a little.

    5
is the numerical value of HE,
    6
is the numerical value of VAV, and
    5
is the numerical value of HE, hence the series of loops (of individual knots) represent the personal name of G-d.
    These numbers altogether (
    26
    ) represent the letters
    YHVH
    - or the
    Tetragrammaton
, the name of the G-d of Israel.
    TZITZIYOT
are about 14-15" long (with a longer

    ATTACHING:
I have had some questions on attaching TZITZIT to a TALLIT or Belt Loop.
